Straight answers

Questions, answered plainly.

Short answer: we buy exotic cars for cash with a same-day written offer, consign them for one flat commission quoted in writing with $0 upfront, and advertise every car at its total price.

Selling for cash

How fast can I get a cash offer for my exotic car?

Most sellers get a written offer the same day. Send your VIN, mileage and a few photos through our cash offer form or by text, and a buyer who knows these cars replies within 15 minutes between 9am and 8pm, seven days a week. The offer is confirmed after a short in-person inspection.

How do you decide what to offer?

We price off what the same model, spec and mileage actually sold for in the last 90 days at auction and retail, not what dealers are asking. Then we adjust for condition, service history, options and color. If you ask, we'll show you the comparable sales behind the number.

How long is your offer good for?

Our written offer is firm for 7 days, as long as the car matches what you described. If the inspection turns up something you didn't mention, like paint work or a warning light, we explain any change in writing before you decide. You're never obligated to accept.

How do I get paid?

By wire transfer, usually the same business day the title paperwork is signed. If there's a loan, we pay your lender directly and wire you the difference. We never ask you to release the car before funds are confirmed, and we confirm wire details by phone, never by email alone.

Can I sell a car that still has a loan?

Yes. Tell us your lender and the approximate payoff. We request the exact payoff, pay the lender directly at closing and send you any equity. If you owe more than the car is worth, we show you the numbers first, and you can bring the difference to closing in certified funds.

Can I sell a leased car to you?

Often, yes. Some leasing companies allow a dealer to buy the car out of the lease and some only allow the person on the lease to buy it out. We check your lessor's current rules before you commit. When the car is worth more than the buyout, that equity goes to you.

Do I have to bring the car to you?

No. We inspect at your home or office anywhere in Southern California and pick the car up in an enclosed trailer at no cost to you. Sellers outside Southern California get a shipping plan and quote along with the offer.

Which cars do you buy?

Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche (especially GT and Turbo models), Mercedes-AMG G63 and Maybach, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and other high-end cars, usually from about $75,000 up. If you're not sure whether your car fits, send it anyway and we'll tell you honestly.

Consignment

What does it cost to consign with AYE Exotics?

A flat commission, quoted in writing before you sign, and nothing upfront. There are no listing, photo, detailing or marketing fees. Any reconditioning, such as a detail or new tires, only happens with your written approval. The full terms are on our consignment page.

When do consignors get paid?

Within 3 business days after the buyer's funds clear, with a written accounting of the sale. California law gives a dealer up to 20 days to pay a consignor and provide the accounting; we don't make you wait that long.

Where is the money held after my car sells?

In a separate consignment trust account, never in our operating account. Your sale proceeds are never used to buy inventory or pay business expenses. That separation is written into your consignment agreement.

Can I cancel a consignment agreement?

Yes. The agreement runs 90 days, and you can cancel anytime with 24 hours' notice. There is no cancellation fee. You only reimburse costs you approved in writing, such as reconditioning you asked for.

Will my car be driven while it's on consignment?

Only on accompanied test drives with qualified buyers. We log every mile and cap the total at 10 miles unless you approve more in writing. The car is covered under our dealer insurance while in our care and stored indoors.

Can I consign a car that has a loan or lease?

Yes. When the car sells, the buyer's funds come to us, we pay off your lender directly, and you receive the rest with a written accounting. For leased cars, we confirm first that your leasing company allows a dealer payoff. If you owe more than the sale price, you bring the difference before delivery.

Should I consign or sell outright?

Sell outright for speed and certainty: you're paid in a day or two. Consign for the most money if you can wait, typically 30 to 60 days. On a high-value car the difference can be meaningful. Our side-by-side guide walks through the math.

Buying and financing

Does the advertised price include everything?

Yes, except what California law lets a dealer leave out. Our advertised prices include all costs to the buyer except government fees and taxes, finance charges, and any dealer document processing or electronic filing charges. No add-ons are slipped into the deal.

Do you have a 3-day return policy?

On used cars priced at $50,000 or less, California's CARS Act gives buyers a 3-day right to cancel the purchase, and we honor it exactly as the law requires. Most of our cars are priced above that threshold, so ask us about the terms on the specific car you're buying.

Can I get a pre-purchase inspection?

Yes, and we encourage it. You can have any car inspected by an independent shop or marque specialist of your choice before you buy. Every car we sell also comes with its full VIN, a vehicle history report and our own inspection notes.

Can you finance an exotic car?

Yes. We work with specialty lenders that finance high-value cars, often with longer terms than a typical auto loan. Approval, rate and term depend on your credit and the car. Our finance page has a calculator that shows the APR, term, down payment and total of payments together.

Can you find a car you don't have in stock?

Yes. Tell us the model, spec, colors, mileage and budget on our Find My Car page. We search dealers, private owners and auctions, and we come back with real cars and real numbers, not a sales pitch.

How do I hold a car while I decide?

A refundable deposit holds a car for an agreed period while you arrange inspection or financing. The hold terms are put in writing, so a car you've put a deposit on isn't sold to someone else while you're working through your deal.

Shipping and out-of-state

Do you sell to buyers outside California?

Yes. We sell to buyers nationwide and arrange enclosed transport to your door. Paperwork is signed electronically or by overnight courier, and we confirm wire instructions by phone. See out-of-state buyers for the full process.

How long does enclosed shipping take?

Within Southern California, usually a day or two. Coast to coast, enclosed transport commonly takes about 10 to 14 days depending on the route and carrier schedule. We give you a written quote and an estimated delivery window before you commit.

What's the difference between a 49-state car and a California car?

California-certified cars meet California emissions rules; 49-state cars were built for the rest of the country. California generally won't register a used 49-state car that has fewer than 7,500 miles. Check the emissions label under the hood before buying a low-mile car from out of state, and we'll check it for you.

Do you buy cars from out-of-state sellers?

Yes. Send your car's details and photos the same way any seller would. We include transport in the offer, and we can arrange an independent inspection in your area before the car is picked up.

Paperwork and California rules

What paperwork do I need to sell my car?

Your title, or your lender's details if it's financed, plus registration, a photo ID, every key, and any service records, window sticker and accessories you have. We prepare the California DMV forms and walk you through every signature.

Do I need to file anything with the DMV after I sell?

Yes. California sellers should file a Notice of Transfer and Release of Liability with the DMV within 5 days of the sale. It protects you from tickets or liability after the car leaves. We help you file it at signing so nothing is missed.

Is AYE Exotics a licensed dealer?

Yes. AYE Exotics is a trade name of Eldumiate Motorcars LLC, a licensed California used vehicle dealer, and the license number appears in the footer of every page. We follow California's dealer advertising rules, including showing the full VIN and the total price on every car we advertise.

How do you protect me from wire fraud?

We never change wire instructions by email. Before you send or receive money, we confirm account details with you by phone using the number on this website. If you ever get an email asking you to wire money somewhere new, call us before doing anything.

Do you sell my personal information?

No. We use the information you submit only to respond to your request and complete your transaction, and we never sell or share it for advertising. You can read our Privacy Policy and submit a request on our Do Not Sell or Share page.
